Remembering September 11
Come together with the Pace Community to remember, reflect, and honor those we lost on September 11, 2001.
Seventeen years ago, the tragic events of 9/11 were not only felt around the world, but also at our University, located just blocks away from the World Trade Center—where our nation and our community were forever changed within a matter of hours. The Pace Community heavily mourned the loss of 47 members, and was closed for several weeks as the city and the country worked toward a brighter tomorrow.
Here's where you can remember, honor, and reflect:
New York City
Tuesday, September 11 | 6:00 p.m. | Meet in the Bianco Room
The September 11 Memorial, museum, and the stunning new One World Trade showcase a downtown Manhattan that has been through its share of adversity and tragedy and emerged stronger than ever. Meet at the Bianco Room for a trip to the memorial site, and to remember those who gave their lives on one of the darkest days in our nation’s history.
9/11 Candelight Vigil
Tuesday, September 11 | 9:00 p.m. | Kessel Cafe
Join together with the PLV Community for the annual candlelight vigil to honor those who we lost on September 11, and to partake in the continued resilience in the fight against evil and destruction.
This month, Pace faculty are keeping up with the torrent pace (no pun intended) of technological innovation—and are earning some recognition along the way!
