Rosy-Fingered Dawn (NYC)

Bringing together twelve artists working in sculpture, painting, photography, and performance, Rosy-Fingered Dawn is the latest exhibition in Pace’s new art gallery. Enjoy the reception on Wednesday, February 27!

Rosy-Fingered Dawn is an epithet from Homer’s “Odyssey,” a portent of new beginnings in an ongoing journey. It speaks to the opening of Pace’s new exhibition space in an academic realm with visionary and pedagogical potential. Eliciting the human form, the phrase personifies future possibilities, establishing the figure as a point of departure.

The participating artists will investigate ideas around the body in society through works ranging from interactive sculpture to community-based performance. Their disparate formal practices are linked by shared, open approach, and inquiry-based processes that are earnest and generative. Enjoy the reception with us:
