Pace’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) works to provide in-depth and confidential one-on-one business advisement, training, and research to help small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs grow or launch their business venture—free! From helping to access financing to identifying contract opportunities, from product marketing to regulatory compliance, their experienced and NYS-certified business advisors have the expertise to help your business reach its full potential.

If you’re thinking of launching your business idea, the SBDC’s experienced and NYS-certified business advisors can help you throughout the whole process. Their team can review your business plan, assist with market research, identify possible funding resources, and more. SBA 7(a) 504 and Microloan Debt Relief Program
Wednesday, March 24 | 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. | Register to attend the SBA 7(a) 504 and Microloan Debt Relief Program online session

Are you an entrepreneur or have a small business and you need funding? Learn more about the US Small Business Administration (SBA)’s targeted debt relief program that helps entrepreneurs build and launch a business venture. Specifically, under the 7(a), 504 and Microloan Debt Relief program, the SBA will pay the first six months of principal and interest for small businesses who apply for and receive a new 7(a), 504 or Microloan through September 30, 2021, capped at $9,000 per borrower per month.

Join the Pace Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to learn more about how these “non-disaster” SBA Loans can help support your business venture post COVID-19. The session will feature small business lenders who actively lend funds through these programs and will be moderated by Beth Goldberg, District Director of the SBA’s New York District Office.

Trademark Searching with the U.S Paten and Trademarks Office

The Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is partnering with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to offer a Trademark Searching webinar. As part of the session, the USPTO’s Jason Lott, attorney advisor, Trademarks Customer Outreach, will navigate through the intricacies of trademarks and review:

  • Why a trademark might be refused federal registration because of the likelihood of confusion;
  • Why conducting a clearance search before filing is so important;
  • How to conduct a clearance search of the federal trademark database; and
  • How to find help with the trademark registration process.
