Science at Sea (NYC)

Have you ever been whale watching? On Friday, June 8, you'll get the chance to meet one of nature's most majestic creatures—and work with NYC's Whale Research and Advocacy Organization, too!
Take part in a “Science at Sea” experiential learning day in the Rockaways in Queens! This day-long trip involves a whale watching tour aboard the American Princess boat where you’ll practice research methods actively used by Gotham Whale, New York City’s Whale Research and Advocacy Organization, and participate in a beach cleanup in the Fort Tilden area of the Rockaways.
Friday, June 8, 2018
11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (Meet at One Pace Plaza at 9:30 a.m.)
Riis Landing, Breezy Point
Please register in order to attend! A $10 registration fee will be donated to the Gotham Whale Project. If you're in need of financial assistance or have any questions, please email Sam Miller.
Pace will be chartering a bus for students, faculty, and staff from the Pleasantville Campus at 8:30 a.m. outside the Goldstein Fitness Center. To reserve a space on the bus, please email Alysse Estes by Monday, June 4.
