The Science of Social Media (NYC)

Social media mining is going on right at the Seidenberg School. Join the team on February 20 for a discussion as part of Social Media Week 2014.
Tracking and mining the valuable information contained in the millions of tweets, likes, hashtags, and image uploads posted by millions of active social media users every hour might seem like an overwhelming task, but it is the kind of work done every day by the Seidenberg Social Media monitoring team. Join Cathy Dwyer, PhD, Director, Jonathan Hill, DPS, and Pace University graduate students to learn about the latest corporate and academic research into social media and the very real opportunities it presents.
As part of Social Media Week, LaunchLM Tech Open House presents the Science of Social Media discussion, which will be held at on Thursday, February 20, at 4:15 p.m. in Room 237 at 163 William Street.
LaunchLM is a collaboration of technology, venture capital, urban planning, and real estate decision-makers. We've banded together to foster innovation, build community, and support the burgeoning tech/creative community in Lower Manhattan.
Our Tech Open House initiative was kicked off to give our companies a centralized platform to humblebrag about their cultures and technologies--and get to know their neighbors.
Tech Open House: Social Media Edition is graciously supported by FWD.us, the organization started by key leaders in the tech community to promote policies to keep the United States and its citizens competitive in a global economy.
