Senior Testimonial: Alisha Hayes

News Story

This week, graduating student Alisha Hayes talks about her plans to continue at Pace, getting her MPA and JD, what she'll miss about her dorm room, and advice for incoming students.

“Something at Pace that I will miss is my adviser Ann Marie McGlynn, she has honestly supported me in everything and anything that I needed, especially when it came to me preparing for grad school. I will also miss my single dorm room in Martin Hall. It was quiet, had a huge walk-in closet, and an air conditioner, which was something that I never had in my old dorm rooms. My plans after graduation are to attend grad school at Pace University in White Plains, and study for my master’s in public administration/Juris Doctor degree. The first year of grad school I will be studying public administration and after that I will be getting my Juris Doctor degree at Pace Law School. My goal is to become a family lawyer. My advice for prospective students is to definitely work hard in college, and know what it is that you want to do with your career. Once you know that, it's definitely important to network so you can make connections, and possibly have a future career in store for you after you graduate. My second piece of advice is to definitely have fun, because college is a way to not only achieve academically, but to also build friendships that may last a lifetime.”
