Sit Down with a Senator (PLV)

On Thursday, April 18, IGNITE your passion for student activism at a town hall with New York State Senator Pete Harckham on the PLV Campus! Opening remarks will be made by President Marvin Krislov and Provost Vanya Quiñones, PhD.

IGNITE at Pace University, a student organization dedicated to closing the gender-gap in politics by empowering young women to become the next generation of political leaders, is proud to host a tea and coffee town hall with New York State Senator Pete Harckham, who will discuss the importance of student activism, women in leadership positions, human rights, gun control, his priorities as senator, and other important topics. President Marvin Krislov and Provost Vanya Quiñones, PhD, will make the opening remarks.

Harckham represents New York’s 40th District: Westchester and the Hudson Valley, which includes Pleasantville. Prior to being elected to the New York State Senate, Harckham had a distinguished career in public service, most recently having served in the administration of Governor Andrew Cuomo from 2015–2018.
