Submit the Write Stuff (NYC)

News Story

Do you have a way with words when it comes to writing? Submit your work to the 2015 NYC English Department Writing Awards competition by April 6 for a chance to have your writing recognized and win cash prizes.

They say the pen is mightier than the sword, and Pace wants to honor its mighty NYC writers and wordsmiths at the annual NYC English Department Writing Awards. Submissions of fiction, poetry, critical or creative nonfiction, screenwriting, literary or film criticism, and journalism are being accepted through Monday, April 6, at midnight for a chance to win up to $5,000 in cash prizes and awards.

All NYC undergraduate students majoring or minoring in English or film and screen studies are eligible to enter, as well as any undergraduate student who has or is currently taking ENG 223, ENG 223C, or a 300-level ENG or LIT course, or any FSS course on Pace’s New York City Campus.

For more information on eligibility and guidelines for submissions and to see past winners, please contact Writing Awards Director and Professor Eugene Richie, PhD, or click here.
