Sue Wicks Meet and Greet (PLV)

News Story

WNBA Hall of Fame member, four-time WNBA finalist, and basketball legend Sue Wicks will be coming to the PLV Campus on Friday, April 20! Join us for her exclusive Q&A on being an out lesbian in sports.

Sue Wicks is in the house! She’s a basketball legend who spent more than 15 years playing professionally overseas before playing in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) for the New York Liberty team. Wicks is a four-time WNBA finalist, All-Star, founder of Fight 2B Fit, and long-time collegiate basketball coach.

She’s also one of the few players willing to speak openly about being a lesbian. “I was born gay; I didn’t do one drill to get better at being gay. But the basketball, which I had so much pride in, always came second to that,” Wicks told ESPN.

Don’t miss out on this exclusive opportunity to hear from and meet with a basketball legend and inspiration!
