Summer Research Award 2020

Apply by Friday, May 8, for a chance to earn a $1,000 stipend to conduct faculty-mentored research this summer! Projects can be strictly research-based or even artistic—get creative, and grab this opportunity while it lasts.
The Undergraduate Student-Faculty Summer Research Award is a program designed for undergraduate students who have completed their first, second, or third year at Pace, and who have ideas for projects that have developed in class settings but would benefit from in-depth development over the summer months. With a $1,000 stipend, students are welcome to conduct a faculty-mentored summer research or artistic project that will begin on Monday, June 1, and conclude on Monday, August 31. For Summer 2020, students in consultation with their faculty mentors are encouraged to develop summer research and artistic projects that prioritize remote work and online learning.
Students are expected to:
-
>> Work part-time on their project over the summer months;
-
>> To participate in regular check-ins with their faculty mentor no less than twice a month;
-
>> To complete a written research paper or other substantive report describing their project by the end of the summer session;
-
>> Submit a two-page descriptive reflection about their summer research experience; and
-
>> To make a public presentation of their research at a Pace undergraduate research presentation during the 2020–2021 academic year.
