The Gelsey Kirkland Ballet proudly presents Sleeping Beauty, one of the most beloved and famous ballets in the classical repertoire. With choreography by Marius Petipa and music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, this enchanting fairy tale ballet was first performed in 1890 at the Marinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. It is a true masterpiece and the epitome of dramatic storytelling in the classical tradition.
Pace Presents: From the Horse's Mouth
May 30-June 1, performances start at 7:30 p.m.
Tina Croll and Jamie Cunningham’s From the Horse’s Mouth reunites at the Schimmel after a special collaboration in 2012 with an all-male cast. This edition honors the late Frederic Franklin during his centenary year. Join this international cast of renowned dance artists as they share their extraordinary personal stories and reflections alongside original choreography in this one-of-a-kind theater/dance event.
