Supporting Students

Thanks to a grant from the US Department of Education, Pace's new TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) Program will empower eligible students to achieve academic excellence.
Are you the first in your family to get a four-year degree? Does your family deal with financial hardships and/or do you have a documented disability? Navigating one’s academic career can be challenging enough, and fitting any of the mentioned descriptions can have added stress during your college experience.
Pace University has launched a new grant-funded TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) Program that is currently targeting freshmen and sophomores. SSS is a federally funded academic assistance program designed to increase retention and graduation rates of students through academic advising, mentoring, and career-related services. By creating a community of student peers, staff, faculty, and administrators, SSS hopes to assist and empower students during their undergraduate years.
If you feel that you may benefit from this unique program, please attend our next informational session on Wednesday, February 10, in room W520 during common hour (12:10 p.m.–1:10 p.m.), or contact Jonathan Hooker (jhooker@pace.edu) or Joyce Lau (jlau@pace.edu) for more information. There will be another info session on Tuesday, February 16, from 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m.
Applications and eligibility requirements can be found on the Student Support Services website.
