Make the most of those midterms with on-campus resources including extended Library hours, quiet places to study, and more.
Hitting the books doesn’t have to be painful. From beating writer’s block to diving into your studies in the Fishbowl, check out these resources to help tackle your midterms.
For Your Reference: Extended Library Hours (NYC and PLV)
Looking to get your study on in the Library? Both the Birnbaum and Mortola libraries will have extended hours during midterms. The Birnbaum Library will be open on Sunday, October 23 from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 a.m.; Monday, October 24 through Thursday, October 27 from 8:00 a.m.–2:00 a.m.; and Friday, October 28 from 8:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. The Mortola Library will be open Sunday, October 23 from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 a.m.; Monday, October 24 through Thursday, October 27 for 24 hours a day; and Friday, October 28 from 8:30 a.m.–11:00 p.m.
Glass Case of Quiet (NYC)
Sometimes you need to swim away from it all and find a peaceful study spot. The Birnbaum Library Setters Lounge and Fishbowl are now open 24 hours to help accommodate your study space needs around the clock.
Student-led Tutoring Inside Seidenberg (NYC)
Looking for some guidance on a lesson you missed or interested in learning more about cool topics taught at Seidenberg? Head to free student-led tutoring held Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. in the 3rd Floor Mac Lab in Room 336 at 163 William Street. While tutoring is typically on a walk-in schedule, group visits are encouraged to make an appointment. Learn more about scheduling.
No Time to Kill: Student-led Tutoring Hours (NYC and PLV)
Need help with homework or prepping for that big exam? Stop by the Tutoring Center in NYC located on the 2nd floor of 41 Park Row Monday through Wednesday from 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; Thursday from 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 12:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
In PLV, the Tutoring Center, located in room 309 of the Mortola Library, is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 4:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. for students who need help in topics ranging from linear algebra to logic. Paper Trail: Writing Center Help (NYC and PLV)
Are you buried under a mountain of papers? The Writing Center can help dig you out and spark some inspiration. Stop by Y25 in One Pace Plaza (around the corner from the main computer lab) in NYC and 15B Miller Hall and 134 Alumni Hall in PLV, to ace those papers.
