Transgender Day of Remembrance 2019
Join us on Wednesday, November 20, when the Pace Community gathers to honor and remember those we have lost due to anti-trans violence. There will be discussion groups and a healing art installation for all who wish to attend.
Art Installation and Open Healing

This is an open space for healing, which will feature an art installation honoring the lives lost to violence this year.
Discussion Group: T-Time
12:10 p.m. | 41 Park Row, Room 903
A discussion group for transgender and gender non-conforming college students offering conversations, community, advice, and support. Be sure to check out the rest of the LGBTQA+ and Social Justice Center’s discussion groups for the fall as well.
1:15 p.m. | 41 Park Row, Room 202
Writer, lecturer, and transgender activist Erica Connerney will be sharing her insights on this important topic. She’s the author of The Upside-Down Tree, and teaches philosophy here at Pace.
12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m. | Birnbaum Room, Library
Coming out is often an ongoing experience—not just to family, but also to old friends, and new friends, and even coworkers. Join Associate Director of Residential Life at PLV Vinnie Birkenmeyer ’11 ’13 as he tackles this important topic, particularly as it pertains to the Transgender Day of Remembrance.
There are a number of other discussion groups that will also be taking place on the PLV Campus for Fall 2019.
