Unfriended (NYC)

News Story

Universal Pictures at Pace is scaring the pants off of you before everyone else—for free. No kidding. Grab some popcorn and a friend’s hand, and head to the theaters for an advanced screening of "Unfriended" on April 1.

It might be April Fool’s Day, but Universal Pictures at Pace is swapping out laughs for shrieks on Wednesday, April 1, and sending you to an advanced free screening of the new horror flick Unfriended. The screening will be held at Regal Battery Park Stadium 11 (located at 102 North End Avenue, New York, NY, 10281) at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and students are suggested to arrive 30 minutes early.

Directed by Levan Gabriadze, Unfriended reveals the alarming reality of the Internet and use of social media. One dead girl comes back for revenge…through Skype. Laura Barns (Heather Sossaman) is filmed committing suicide after a drunken video of her is released on social media, publicly humiliating her. Six teenage friends join a Skype call, with one mysterious member who is ready to fatally destroy them.

So if this sounds like a thrilling good time, picked up your tickets outside the Café during Common Hour or contact Universal Pictures at Pace through their social media pages on Twitter or Instagram.
