A Way With Words

All write, all write, all write! On May 4, the Dyson English Department will celebrate the outstanding writing of our Pace students at the 2017 Writing Awards.
They are poets, journalists, screenwriters, playwrights, literary critics. And on May 4, these Pace students will be recognized for their mastery of words at the 2017 English Department Writing Awards.
$10,000 in awards from the Sarah Willis, Billie and Curtis Owens, Richard Gill, Gerard Cannon, and James Rose Funds will be given in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, screenwriting, playwriting, journalism, writing on film, literary criticism, and linguistic and rhetorical analysis. The Academy of American Poets Prize, founded by John Ashbery, will be awarded in the poetry category. Ethan McKellar ’24 and Jacob Selman ’24 are the brains behind F14Productions, a media production company that brings together collaborators from all over the Pace Community to create podcasts, short films, music, and more. Pretty incredible for first-year students.

You’ve probably seen this art installation on the NYC Campus—it’s massive, multidisciplinary, and entirely built by first-year Pace students. They came together (socially distant) to create Unity, a 3D relief mural that stands as a message of hope and solidarity.
