Welcome Week Wrap-up (NYC)
It’s been fun NYC, but it had to end sometime. What better way than with a roller rink in the Student Union, Fall Fest, and battle of the chefs?
Tuesday, September 22
Pace Board Fall Fest
12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. | Courtyard and Student Union
The temperatures are bound to drop, but the fun won’t stop as P.A.C.E. Board presents their annual Fall Fest, featuring a waffle truck and treats truck, prize cube, graffiti shirts, iPhone cases, Build-a-Bear, henna artists, music by Hot 97’s DJ Spynfo, fortune tellers, and more. We see a whole lot of fun in your future.
Empire State Building
7:00 p.m. | Meet at Welcome Desk, One Pace Plaza
What better way to be in an Empire State of Mind than to head 86 or 102 flights up to the observation deck for one of the most tremendous views of NYC? The Empire State Building’s Observation Deck offers up 360-degree views of skyscrapers, parks, and the beauty that is NYC. You can’t live in NYC and not see it from a quarter mile up in the sky. Reserve tickets.
Wednesday, September 23

Neon Roller Rink
8:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. | Student Union
Lace up your skates and take yourself back to times of old with a throwback to the era of roller rinks. That’s right, the Student Union is transforming into a roller rink. No word on the availability of malted milkshakes.

7:30 p.m. | Meet at Welcome Desk, One Pace Plaza
One of the most popular plays on Broadway, Finding Neverland is about a playwright and his relationship with the family who inspired him to write a little play called Peter Pan. If you’re not exactly into the whole “growing up” thing, Finding Neverland may very well strike a chord. Reserve tickets.

Battle of the Chefs
11:00a.m.–2:00 p.m. | Student Union
Battles can sometime be gruesome, ugly, and an overall drain on society. But when chefs battle, it’s pretty much the opposite—especially for those of us who get to eat the delectable “collateral damage.”
