Wellness Events: October 2019
The Health and Wellness Committee is excited to present its current and upcoming health and wellness programs. From health coaching sessions, to mindfulness meditation, to a Mediterranean cooking class, there’s quite a lot opportunities for you to get involved!
Now Offering: One-on-One Health Coaching Sessions
Tuesdays (October 8, October 29, November 19, December 10)
9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (25-minute sessions)
One Pace Plaza, E601 (NYC); Paton House (PLV); Summit Room S-01 (Valhalla); Gerber Glass Jury Room (White Plains)
Pace faculty and staff members have the opportunity to experience a personalized, one-on-one health and wellness consultation conducted by a certified nutrition and health coach. Your nutrition and health coach will work with you to help you achieve wellness goals in areas related to balanced healthy eating, incorporating regular physical movement, managing stress, and developing good sleep hygiene. At the end of every coaching session, you will have healthy lifestyle action steps for the areas that most need attention.
Please note: This is a 3-month long program. Employees who register are committing to attend the initial 25-minute consultation on October 8 and follow-up 25-minute sessions on October 28, November 19, and December 10.

Get away from your desk and see the city! Join with your colleagues or come alone and make friends! Walkers of all levels and paces are welcome! Walk at your own pace, following a different route each walk. Every walker will receive a Pace Yourself to Wellness infuser water bottle!

If you are looking for a way to reduce stress, consider tai chi (TIE-CHEE), an ancient Chinese tradition that was originally developed for self-defense. Any level of experience is welcome at any time!

Mindfulness for Everyone!
Wednesday, October 30

One Pace Plaza, E303
Join us to learn formal and informal mindfulness practices to help you better respond to stress and find more balance in your life. All levels are welcome, from beginners through experienced meditators!
Each mindfulness session will be led by Sophie Kaufman, who has been practicing yoga and meditation for 20 years and trained as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society (CFM).
