Where in the World Will You Go?

News Story

Apply for a chance to receive up to $800 in travel funds! This new initiative by the Provost’s office helps send students all over the world to present research at professional conferences.

A new initiative funded by the Provost office, the Pace Undergraduate Student Academic Conference Travel Fund helps students attend professional conferences to present research with their professors. Past recipients have traveled all over the world—from Canada to California, Texas to Germany, and many other places, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase all your hard work to leaders in your chosen field.

In the fall of 2017, three students, Christina Stewart ’19, Danielle Ran ’18, and Rachel González ’17 ’19, presented at the International Journal of Arts and Sciences Conference in Freiburg, Germany. Their research focused on crime mapping human trafficking (Stewart) and the effects of mobile meditation on mental health (Ran and González). They worked with Sue Maxam, EdD, assistant vice president of Undergraduate Education, and Professor Pauline Mosley, DPS.

Sound like fun? If you’re interested in applying, email Jen Crespo, assistant director of the Office for Student Success. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year, but it’s always good to get your materials in early.
