Winter Gear Donation Drive

News Story

Do you have any new or used winter coats, hats, gloves, or scarves that are taking up space? Consider donating to the Winter Gear Donation Drive by Monday, November 30, to make a difference in the lives of sexually exploited young girls and women.

The Winter Gear Donation Drive serves young girls and women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation across New York. If you’re able, please consider donating used or new items such as winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves! There will be donation boxes available on both the PLV and NYC campuses through Monday, November 30, 2020.

This opportunity has been brought to Pace by the Girls Educational and Mentoring Services’ (GEMS) non-profit, which provides services to commercially sexually exploited and domestically trafficked girls and young women who are typically underage youth exploited by pimps and traffickers.

GEMs is committed to ending commercial sexual exploitation of girls and young women by changing individual lives, transforming public perception, and revolutionizing the system that impacts sexually exploited youth.
