On March 24, join women leaders on Pace’s NYC and PLV campuses for a day of empowerment, celebration, and activism in honor of Women’s History Month.
Femmepowerment: The Future Is Ours
Friday, March 24 | 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. | Bianco Room
The inaugural Femmepowerment brunch seeks to provide opportunities for empowerment, support, learning and unlearning, and promotion of women-centered research, events, and organizing on campus and beyond. This event will also provide a learning space in which we can examine and discuss the role of women on campus as well as build community and support and celebrate women’s accomplishments. This event is specifically for women identified folks only.
Join Professor Emilie Zaslow, PhD, and a student panel, followed by breakout sessions on topics such as leadership, body positivity and wellness, marginalized women, sex and relationships, and women in tech. These breakout sessions will be followed by a lunch and learn with keynote speaker Tamala Baldwin, an international performing artist and inspirational speaker based in New York.
Women’s Leadership Conference
Friday, March 24 | 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. | Kessel Student Center
The third annual Women’s Leadership Conference is a continued campus tradition and one of our premier leadership experiences at Pace University’s Pleasantville Campus. It is a student-run conference which strives to foster leadership development for undergraduate and graduate students, in multidisciplinary aspects of campus life.
The theme of this year's conference is She Can. We Can. Session topics range from being unapologetically you, pushing boundaries, to breaking the glass ceiling. The conference will have topics for all types of students and faculty.
This year’s keynote address will be given by Anne Kubitsky, an international speaker, author, artist, and Founder of the Look for the Good Project, an award-winning organization that helps kids rise above violence and become inspiring leaders in their communities.
Registration for the conference can be found on Eventbrite. It's $5 for Pace University students and faculty, and $10 for outside guests.
