The Pace Press Pitch Meeting

The Pace Press, the widely read student-run newspaper on the NYC Campus, hosts weekly pitch meetings where writers gather, editors pitch articles, and weekly announcements are made by the executive board. Join them! You can also reach out to the team via email if you have any questions.
Pace Comedy Live Writers’ Workshoppe

Think you’re funny? Come develop your material with the best! Pace Comedy Live is hosting a workshop where you’ll get to share your jokes, hear some great material, and collaborate.
Write Like a Journalist

Learn how to write like a journalist with The Pace Press. The editors of the award winning newspaper will teach new writers the APA Style Guide. They encourage all participants to bring a sample to edit with the editors. Pizza will be provided!
One-Act Play Submissions
Deadline: Friday, October 25
Do you like to write? Setter Stage is looking for one-act plays! Selected shows will be featured in their One-Act Play Festival in December. Running time should be around 25–30 minutes. Email your script to the Setter Stage team.
APHROS Literary Magazine Submissions
Deadline: Sunday, December 1
The literature and art-based magazine on the NYC Campus, APHROS has a long and well-respected reputation here at Pace. Keep an eye on their OrgSync page and Instagram account for further details about their submission guidelines this year! They welcome poetry, non-fiction, plays, scripts, visual art, and photography.

Poets Nickole Brown and Jessica Jacobs will be leading a creative writing workshop in honor of National Coming Out Day, courtesy of Pride at Pace, the Alinéa Arts and Literary Journal, Hillel, and the LGBTQA+ and Social Justice Center. Come express yourself and check out the Pride at Pace discussion series slated for Fall 2019.
Alinéa Arts and Literary Journal Submissions
Deadline: Wednesday, October 30
Showcasing the work of Pace students, faculty, and alumni, the Alinéa Arts and Literary Journal is now open for submissions! Categories include art, poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. Please email the team and include in the body of the email if you’d like to workshop your piece. For art submissions, send the highest resolution image.
