"Broadway World" featured Pace University in "Photo Flash: Actors Studio Drama School Closes Its 2019 Repertory Season"

The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University 2019 Repertory Season completed its season of exciting and challenging theater productions with The Bald Soprano by Eugene Ionesco, Roger and Vanessa by Brett C Leonard, and the word premieres of Game Sugar by Juliet Cameron-Wilson and Picket Fence People by Estelle Olivia. The season features the work of the graduating MFA Acting and Directing students who collaborate on professionally produced productions presented at the ASDS Repertory Theater in downtown Manhattan.

The Artistic Director of the ASDS Repertory Season and the Chair of The Actors Studio Drama School, Andreas Manolikakis, hosted the annual Rose Ceremony. Ellen Burstyn, Co-President of The Actors Studio, spoke to the graduating students along with the Artistic Director of The Actors Studio, Beau Gravitte. Marvin Krislov, Pr! esident of Pace University, and Nira Herrmann, Dean of Dyson College, spoke to the students, as well.

The Bald Soprano was directed by Victoria Nilsson and featured Bahar Beihaghi, Elias Batarseh, Juanita Castro-Ochoa, Maricelis Galanes, Gerard Moss and Marlon Quijije.

Roger and Vanessa was directed by Joshua Ster and featured Maricelis Galanes and Marlon Quijije.

Game Sugar was directed by Justin L. Clark and featured Moses C. McGruder and Katie Muldowney.

Picket Fence People was directed by Sarah Brauch and featured Kendra Mittermeyer and Kat Witschen.

The ASDS Repertory Season closed its season on May 11th. The 2019 season included thirteen plays, including four world-premieres. For more information on the season, visit www.ASDSRepSeason.com.

Over 25 years ago, under the auspices of the leadership within The Actors Studio, and academic, degree-granting program was created based on the method honed by members of The Actors Studio since 1947.

This initiative resulted in a three-year master's degree program that is unique in its side-by-side training of acting, directing and playwriting students. Classes are taught by experienced, distinguished Life Members of The Actors Studio in a course sequence that culminates with the Repertory Season.

"Broadway World" featured Pace in "Photo Flash: WEEK 3 Of The Actors Studio Drama School Repertory Season Opens With THE BREAKING OF BREAD And SHE TALKS TO BEETHOVEN"

The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University 2019 Repertory Season opened Week 3 of its seven-week series of exciting and challenging theater productions with The Breaking of Bread by William Watson and She Talks to Beethoven by Adrienne Kennedy. The season features the work of the graduating MFA Acting and Directing students who collaborate on professionally produced productions presented at the ASDS Repertory Theater in downtown Manhattan.

The week also included a Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Night, in which ASDS welcomed members of the BCEFA NextGen Network. The school raised money for the organization both at the theater and at a private event on closing night.

The Breaking of Bread was directed by Joshua Ster and featured Drew Barksdale an! d Chad Kennerk. She Talks to Beethoven was directed by Victoria Nilsson and featured Marcella L. Adams and Moses C. McGruder.

The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University 2019 Repertory Season opened its second week of exciting and challenging theater productions with Lila on the Wall by Edward Allan Baker and Beached by Bernie DeLeo. The season features the work of the graduating MFA Acting and Directing students who collaborate on professionally produced productions presented at the ASDS Repertory Theater in downtown Manhattan.

Lila on the Wall was directed by Joshua Ster and featured Drew Barksdale and Kelsey Irene Markey. Beached was directed by Sarah Brausch and featured Sydney Amigo, Matthew Fitzgerald, Kelsey Irene Markey, Hannah McGovern Gross and Marlon Quijije.

"Television Week" featured Pace in "New Episodes of ‘Inside the Actors Studio’ Set — But a Key Player Is Missing"

“Inside the Actors Studio” announced the lineup for new installments of the show, and revealed how it will carry on without the show’s iconic interviewer, James Lipton.

Ovation revealed that the show’s new season will premiere on the cable channel on Sunday, Oct. 13. Confirmed episodes include Jane Lynch interviewing David Oyelowo and Alec Baldwin interviewing Henry Winkler.

“The incomparable James Lipton can never be replaced, so Ovation and The Actors Studio have curated an impressive roster of multiple hosts to engage with the guests and the students of The Actors Studio MFA program at Pace University,” Ovation said in the announcement. “Currently, confirmed episodes for the new season include Jane Lynch (‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’) interviewing David Oyelowo (‘Selma’) and The Actors Studio co-president Alec Baldwin interviewing Hollywood legend Henry Winkler, hot off his Emmy-winning turn as Gene Cousineau on HBO’s ‘Barry.'”

Added Scott Woodward, EVP of Programming and Production, Ovation: “As an independent television network dedicated to celebrating and supporting all forms of arts and culture, Ovation is perfect as the new home for Inside the Actors Studio. We plan to honor the legacy of James Lipton’s master class while also exploring the craft with eclectic, talented guests.”

The series will be filmed in New York City at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University and at the Loreto Theater at the Sheen Center.

Legacy episodes will air on Ovation leading up to the Oct. 13 premiere, including episodes featuring Paul Newman, Robin Williams, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, George Clooney, Halle Berry, Jim Carrey, Bradley Cooper and Brad Pitt.

New episodes of “Inside the Actors Studio” are being produced by Triage Entertainment.

The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University 2019 Repertory Season opened its seven-week series of exciting and challenging theater productions with bobrauschenbergamerica by Charles L. Mee and the world premiere of Birdsong by Caleb John Cushing. The season features the work of the graduating MFA Acting and Directing students who collaborate on professionally produced productions presented at the ASDS Repertory Theater in downtown Manhattan.

The Chair of The Actors Studio Drama School and Artistic Director of the ASDS Repertory Season, Andreas Manolikakis, opened the season with a champagne toast to the students, faculty, designers, crew and staff of the ASDS Repertory Season.

The week also included a talkback with the writer and director of Birdsong, Caleb John Cushing and Joshua Ster, moderated by the Associate Artistic Director of the ASDS Repertory Season, Ken Urso.

bobrauschenbergamerica was directed by Justin L. Clark and featured Drew Barksdale, Juliet Cameron-Wilson, Juanita Castro-Ochoa, Caleb John Cushing, Matthew Fitzgerald, Nathan Krasner, Katie Muldowney, and Max Pheifer. Birdsong was directed by Joshua Ster and featured Sydney Amigo and Brandon Macpherson.
