"Fios1" featured Seidenberg School's Cybersecurity Training Camp

New generations of cybersecurity experts attended a training camp at Pace University’s Pleasantville Campus. 32 high schoolers from across the tristate area participated in a cybersecurity program funded by the National Security Agency. The event at Pace’s Seidenberg School included a training exercise in which students piloted drones through hallways and classrooms.

Lead instructor, Matt Ganis states “The whole concept of cybersecurity is growing in leaps and bounds. For them to understand these concepts regardless of what field they are in. To understand implications of security around any of their web processes, around any of their work items is incredibly important from young age all the way through retirement age.”

Students also launched water robots or cyberbots in Goldstein pool. It was all part of the gencyber program funded by NSA and the Nations Science Foundation to help prepare young people for careers in cyber security.
