...As part of Ovation TV’s rebooted “Inside the Actors Studio” interview series, Pacino joined fellow Oscar, Emmy, and Tony winner (and Actors Studio co-president) Ellen Burstyn on Sept. 25 to take a craft and career deep-dive. Conversation soon enough turned to self-taping and auditioning. Speaking to the sold-out audience at Pace University’s Schimmel Center, Pacino explained why he believes the audition process is more difficult today than it used to be.

What I really don't like about it today, is that you got to put yourself on tape, he said. Can't stand it. I really can't stand it. There's nothing like going to an audition and meeting the people and seeing them and looking in their eyes, then doing it.

"TBI Vision" featured New York's Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts in "Ovation TV's 'Inside The Actors Studio' reboot shapes up with Greta Gerwig, Alfre Woodard"

The US arts network will feature Oscar-nominated director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) as host, interviewing Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Laura Dern.

Tony Award nominee LaTanya Richardson Jackson is also set to interview Emmy Award-winning actor Alfre Woodard.

Dern stars as “Marmee March” in Gerwig’s upcoming film adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s novel Little Women, which will be released on Christmas Day. Meanwhile, Jackson and Woodard most recently starred together in the Netflix Original film Juanita directed by Clark Johnson.

Elsewhere, Alec Baldwin will also interview Henry Winkler.

Produced by Triage Entertainment, the new season of the iconic programme – which is currently filming at New York’s Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University – debuts on Ovation TV on 13 October.

Ovation TV swooped for rights to the programme, which previously aired on Bravo, last year. It reimagined the format, with a revolving set of hosts for the various guests.

The channel holds exclusive linear and digital rights in the US to new episodes. It also holds international rights to the episodes, and will also curate content from the series’ extensive library for additional episodes.

Since its inception, more than 200 actors and directors have been featured on Inside The Actors Studio, including Jessica Chastain, Sally Field, Brad Pitt, Sidney Pollack, Julia Roberts, Shirley MacLaine, Meryl Streep and Angelina Jolie.

The series has received 20 Emmy nominations in the Outstanding Informational Series or Special category, ultimately winning in 2013.

The new season of “Inside the Actors Studio” begins on October 13, with Alec Baldwin interviewing Henry Winkler. Additional episodes include Jane Lynch interviewing David Oyelowo, Pedro Pascal interviewing Willem Dafoe, and Ellen Burstyn interviewing Al Pacino. The series is currently filming in New York at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University, as it always has throughout the course of its 22 seasons.

“Inside the Actors Studio” will air on Ovation Sunday nights at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.

“Inside the Actors Studio,” which is currently filming in New York  City at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University, announced that four-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe will appear on the show on Sunday, Oct. 27.

The episode will feature Pedro Pascal (“Wonder Woman 1984,” “The Mandalorian”) interviewing Dafoe, who has been nominated for Academy Awards for “Platoon,” “Shadow of the Vampire,” “The Florida Project” and “At Eternity’s Gate.”

Pascal and Dafoe co-starred in Yimou Zhang’s 2016 film “The Great Wall.” Dafoe returns to the “Inside The Actors Studio” stage for the first time since 1996.

“As a fellow actor who has admired Willem Dafoe’s storied acting career, I am honored to interview him on Ovation’s ‘Inside the Actors Studio,'” said Pascal. “Willem is one of the most versatile actors I know, and I cannot wait to share his passion for the art of acting with a deserving audience.”

The show runs on Ovation TV, which announced the first four airdates of the new season.

“Inside the Actors Studio” will premiere on Sunday, October 13 at 10pm ET / 7pm PT, with Alec Baldwin interviewing Henry Winkler. The second episode, airing on Sunday, October 20 at 10pm ET / 7pm PT, will feature Jane Lynch interviewing David Oyelowo. The fourth episode, with Ellen Burstyn interviewing Al Pacino, will air on Sunday, November 3 at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.

Ovation TV, America's only arts network, has announced the latest host and guest of the new season of Inside the Actors Studio. The upcoming episode will feature Pedro Pascal (Wonder Woman 1984, The Mandalorian) interviewing four-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse, At Eternity's Gate) and will air on Sunday, October 27 at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.

Pascal and Dafoe costarred in Yimou Zhang's 2016 film The Great Wall together. Dafoe returns to the INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO stage for the first time since 1996.

"The New York Times" featured the Schimmel Center at Pace University in "5 Dance Performances to See in N.Y.C. This Weekend"

BATTERY DANCE FESTIVAL at Robert J. Wagner Jr. Park and the Schimmel Center at Pace University (Aug. 16, 7 p.m.; Aug. 17, 6 p.m.). This annual international festival at the tip of Manhattan offers one more free outdoor performance on Friday. Participants include troupes from Austria and Curaçao and several artists based in the United States, including Battery Dance, the company founded by the festival’s organizer, Jonathan Hollander. Battery Dance appears again for the concluding, ticketed performance at the Schimmel Center on Saturday, joined by the Austrian and Curaçaon companies, as well as one from Lithuania and a young dancer from Iraq.
