"Pleasantville Patch" featured Pace University President Marvin Krislov in "Pace President Named to "Power 50"
Pace University President Marvin Krislov has been named to City & State New York's Power 50, a list of most powerful people in Westchester.
City & State New York covers local and state politics and policy and created the list to recognize those in Westchester who are not strictly in government but influence it from the outside.
A special magazine issue featuring Westchester's Power 50 kicked off Sept. 17 with a reception at the Radisson Hotel in New Rochelle which gathered leaders from advocacy, academia, media, business and beyond.
"It was a real honor to be named to City & State's Westchester Power 50, alongside many of the county's top corporate, public, and nonprofit leaders," said Krislov. "I view this as a tremendous endorsement not of me but of the important role Pace University plays in educating Westchester's students, providing its employers with prepared, hard-working graduates, and being a good neighbor to all its residents."
According to City & State's website, rankings were compiled based upon "accomplishments, sway in political and policy matters, their economic clout, their philanthropic efforts, their ties to powerful politicians and the constituencies they represent." The list represents a diverse range of industries and sectors, including large corporations, higher education institutions, and non-profit organizations.
