About the Class

This course is for individuals new to or in the early stages of their Project Management careers, or wishing to formalize their Project Management skill set.

Project Management Institute’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® is a valuable entry-level certification for project practitioners looking to validate their dedication to the project management experience, expand their abilities and responsibilities to manage projects and  increase their earning potential.

This class is intended to prepare students for the Certified Associated in Project Management (CAPM)® certification exam, offered through Project Management Institute (PMI)®. The course will provide in-depth review of the five process groups: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing. Upon completion of this class, students will have acquired a solid foundation in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), and have the foundational knowledge to confidently sit for the CAPM® examination. For those individuals interested in the Project Management Professional (PMP)® examination but who do not yet meet that examination’s eligibility requirements, the CAPM® certification is a highly recommended first step. The knowledge gained here is expanded upon in the PMP® prep course. Participants will receive a Pace University Certificate of Completion & 23 PDUs which will meet the education requirement to take the CAPM® exam.
