COVID-19 Dashboard

This data dashboard represents all available data on all three Pace University campuses. It is updated weekly and includes all data from the previous week. Please note that the case data includes positive cases from on-campus community testing and reported off-campus testing of students, staff, and faculty. On-campus quarantine/isolation space is not utilized for commuter or employee positive cases. The quarantine/isolation capacity only reflects the dedicated space utilized on campus.

Understanding Pace’s Alert Levels

Pace utilizes alert levels of Green, Yellow, Orange and Red to determine COVID-19 safety measures on its campuses.

Green: New Normal

COVID-19 cases are rare and transmission is controlled.

What to expect:

  • Practice everyday precautions: physical distancing, monitoring your health and completing a daily health screening on the PaceSafe app, hand washing.
  • Unvaccinated individuals must wear face coverings while indoors.
  • Classrooms and labs are configured for normal occupancy
  • Campus facilities are configured normally and operate at full capacity (e.g., dining halls, gyms, libraries)
  • Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated students, faculty, and staff are required to participate in community testing. Testing optional for vaccinated individuals.
  • Pace-sponsored events, student activities, and other gatherings may take place (indoors or outdoors). Rooms can be filled to capacity without special seating arrangements
  • Visitors must follow health and safety protocols on campus and travel is permitted.

Yellow: Low To Moderate Risk

Incidence of the COVID-19 remains low, but indicators show increased, or potential for, increase in transmission.

What to expect:

  • Practice everyday precautions: physical distancing, monitoring your health and completing a daily health screening on the PaceSafe app, hand washing.
  • Vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals must wear face coverings while indoors.
  • Classrooms and labs are configured for normal occupancy
  • Campus facilities are configured normally and operate at full capacity for vaccinated individuals (e.g., dining halls, gyms, libraries). In NYC, unvaccinated people may only use dining facility for grab-and-go and are restricted from fitness centers per Key to NYC.
  • Frequency of testing may be increased for some populations. Depending on local and on-campus transmission rates, community testing of vaccinated students, faculty, and staff may continue or increase.
  • Pace-sponsored events, student activities and other gatherings may take place (indoors or outdoors). Indoor target capacity 75% or less. All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear face coverings when at indoor events or unable to socially distance outside.
  • Invited visitors must follow health and safety protocols on campus and university travel is permitted.

Orange: Moderate Risk

Incidence of COVID-19 has increased above baseline modeling and indicators show rates of infection are increasing.

What to expect:

  • Practice everyday precautions: physical distancing, monitoring your health and completing a daily health screening on the PaceSafe app, hand washing.
  • Classroom and lab capacity may be reduced or seating may be reconfigured; additional classes may move online.
  • Capacity of some, or all, campus facilities may be reduced; seating or equipment may be reconfigured to allow for physical distancing.
  • Vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals must wear face coverings while indoors.
  • Pace-sponsored events, student activities and other gatherings may take place (indoors or outdoors). Indoor target capacity 50% or less. All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear face coverings when at indoor events unable to socially distance outside.
  • Invited visitors are discouraged and travel is strongly discouraged.

Red: Suspension of In-Person Operations

Significant increase in COVID-19 incidence with limited quarantine, isolation, and/or local hospital capacity.

What to expect:

  • Practice everyday precautions: physical distancing, monitoring your health and completing a daily health screening on the PaceSafe app, hand washing.
  • Frequency of testing may be increased for most populations. Depending on local and on-campus transmission rates, community testing of vaccinated students, faculty, and staff may continue or increase.
  • Many classes may transition to remote.

In NYC, unvaccinated people may only use dining facility for grab-and-go and are restricted from fitness centers per Key to NYC order.
  • Campus is restricted to essential operations; only residential students and employees needed to support residential students or essential research and clinical activities will be allowed on campus.
  • Pace-sponsored events, student activities and other gatherings may be limited or canceled. All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear face coverings when attending events regardless of location (indoors or outdoors).
