The Center for Academic Enrichment was founded in 1972 and has held a great reputation for more than 45 years in Westchester County. The Center was originally named the Center for Literacy Enrichment and was established to help improve the developmental reading skills of children in White Plains, New York. In the years since, the Center for Academic Enrichment at Pace University has broadened its reach to serve thousands of students throughout Westchester, Putnam, Fairfield, and Rockland counties. All instruction is delivered by tutors and teachers certified by the State of New York. Programming takes place at the Education House on Pace University's Law School campus in White Plains. The Center is the only full-service program in Westchester County affiliated with a private, four-year university and law school.

Tutoring is done on an individual basis and during the summer, in small groups by certified teachers. Every summer the children enjoy a fun experience of academic learning with an approach to STEAM, literacy and field trips. In keeping with this mission, the Center and its teachers strive to make academic success, particularly in reading, writing and math, a reality by building students' self-esteem and inspiring them to become lifelong learners through the STEAM approach. We believe a strong support in education is the foundation a child needs in order to achieve academic and life success. We embrace diversity and are committed to providing access to all children and families.
