Congratulations to School of Education Alumna Elizabeth Barrett-Zahn for receiving a Fulbright Award. Elizabeth, who graduated with an MST in 1994 and has been teaching for many years in New Rochelle, New York, was recently offered a Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching Short-Term. Elizabeth is one of approximately nine U.S. citizens who is traveling abroad through the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Short-Term Program in 2017-2018. She is now in Hai Phong City, Vietnam, spending this summer collaborating with educators in the development of an integrated STEM program. Recipients of Fulbright grants are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement, as well as demonstrated leadership potential.
