Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is a major part of our program at the Seidenberg School. At the Seidenberg Applied Data and Networking Sciences Lab, you can get hands-on training that will take your theoretical knowledge and turn it into practical experience.
There’s a joke about the tech industry that companies want to hire only experienced workers, but new grads can’t get any experience to offer unless the company hires them. We aim to terminate this Catch-22 by offering a way for our students to get that crucial experience while they’re still in school.
In the lab, you’ll learn how to crack passwords, hack into networks, analyze malware and complete a variety of information security tasks. By undertaking this practice, you will build your experience base through projects you can talk about in job interviews to prove that you have the hands-on experience to back up your theoretical knowledge.
We welcome all levels of skill to the lab to enjoy the introductory suite of videos we have built that will cover everything in the broad world of cybersecurity as you complete practical exercises.
