Design Factory launch

For the past five years, the Seidenberg School has been an active participant in the Design Factory Global Network, a consortium of Universities around the world that celebrate Design Thinking through a highly effective model of project-based-learning. As part of Seidenberg’s evolution as a leading proponent of this style of education, we are thrilled to announce that we are launching the NYC Design Factory to officially join the Design Factory Global Network. The main event will take place on September 30th, from 8am to 10am and will end a month of Design Thinking and Design Factory activities at Pace.

Game Design Jam

Learn the principles and foundations of game design. In this three day workshop, you will learn the skills you need to design your very own game! Taught by Sabiha Ghellal, a professor of mobile interaction design at Stuttgart Media University, Germany, this amazing workshop will help you make your ideas come to life. At the end of the week there will be a showcase for you to present your new skills and your fantastic new game!

Join us for a workshop on the usability in game design. During the workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of game design - and may be inspired to start creating their own game! The workshop will be facilitated by guest lecturer Sabiha Ghellal, a professor of mobile interaction design at Stuttgart Media University in Germany.
Build Your Next Cool Idea

Curious about the NYC Design Factory? Want to try rapid prototyping? Want to building something cool? Want to work with very creative Finns from Aalto Design Factory?
If your answer is yes to any of those questions, then this workshop is for you! Participants will work in a team to rapidly prototype an idea, learn some fun ideation methods, collaborate with Design Factory staff from Finland and, of course, have lots of fun!

Identifying the Next Big Thing Workshop

After the grand opening of the New York Design Factory, a fantastic industry workshop will be held that will introduce the Pace community and our corporate partners to the way of the Design Factory. The workshop will teach participants different methods of identifying opportunities. They can be opportunities for new R&D projects, new research, theses, personal projects, and much more. You will finish the workshop feeling inspired, with incredible (and adventurous) new ideas and new knowledge on how to make them a reality.
