While Pace study abroad is cancelled through the Spring semester due to COVID-19, you may wish to take advantage of virtual global opportunities – starting in January 2021. Below are some program options. (Check back on this site, as more virtual course offerings are being developed!)
How it works:
- You must first apply through the Pace study abroad portal.
- All course and internship fees are paid directly to the providers listed below (not to Pace).
- There is no additional Pace Study Abroad Fee billed for such opportunities.
- These courses have already been vetted by Pace, so you will get Pace academic credit as outlined below (assuming that you complete the deliverables and pass the course).
- Remember: These are virtual courses; there is no travel associated with any of these programs.
- Contact Pace Education Abroad with questions: email@example.com
Virtual Global Internships
CEA’s virtual Global Internship provides you with a unique opportunity to gain global professional experience, boost your career profile, build an international professional network, and expand your skill set by interning with a company based overseas – while staying local. These are project-based internships, with 8-week placements. Students will receive 3 credits of Pace General Elective. Because this is considered a Spring 2021 semester program, students must enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours at Pace and not exceed 18 credit hours (inclusive of this virtual course/internship) during the semester. Note that Lubin students cannot obtain academic credits for this internship program. CEA requires that you must have completed your freshman year and have a GPA of 2.75 in order to apply and participate.
Internships through CEA are offered in 10 countries virtually, in Spring 2021:
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Barcelona, Spain
- Buenos Aires, Argentina (students will need an intermediate level of Spanish)
- Florence, Italy
- Paris, France
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Rome, Italy
- San Jose, Costa Rica (students will need an intermediate level of Spanish)
- Seville, Spain
- Sydney, Australia
Internship dates: January 18–March 26, 2021
Pace study abroad application deadline: November 12
After you’re accepted by Pace, you must then apply to CEA by November 16

These courses are designed to allow students to learn from communities and groups working for social change, to inform thought and action for personal and societal transformation. Students will have the opportunity to dialogue directly with the guests, instructors, and each other. These courses are offered during the Winter 2021 term, and Pace students may take only one class during this term (either one of these virtual classes or one at Pace).
