Adolescent Education, BA

Prepare to teach in middle or high school by becoming a professional who can handle many types of classroom situations and develop creative strategies to help every student be successful. By completing extensive study in your chosen concentration area—biology, chemistry, Earth science, English, history/social studies, or mathematics—you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to be an excellent teacher and help today’s students become tomorrow’s leaders.

All of the School of Education programs (undergraduate and graduate) are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and our rigorous curriculum is designed to prepare you to meet New York State’s high standards for educators. In addition, Pace students begin their fieldwork experiences the first semester of sophomore year, one year earlier than most schools—we get you into the classroom to gain the insight and practical experience you’ll need to make a real difference in the classroom.
