COMPUTER SCIENCE, PHDMEET THE GROWING DEMAND OF QUALITY COMPUTER INNOVATORS AND RESEARCH SCHOLARS
Careers in computing remain in very high demand and offer not only the comforts of a high-paying job, but also the intellectual challenges of a creative and productive profession.
With Seidenberg’s PhD in Computer Science program, students will be prepared to make original and innovative contributions to a field of study through research efforts. Through class work and mentoring relationships with faculty, students obtain state-of-the-art theoretical and methodological foundations to design and conduct research independently on cutting-edge topics including telehealth and biometrics, web computing and information assurance, artificial intelligence and robotics, and software engineering and formal methods. Students may also be eligible to receive financial support so they can focus on full-time research, and a required teaching component prepares students to become effective professors and join the university faculty.
As one of the earliest accredited computing schools in the nation and the first to offer a Computer Science PhD in New York’s Hudson Valley, Seidenberg has developed and sustained a high quality of research by faculty and students as well as a strong placement record for its graduates.
