Fall Dance Intensive Program

2026 Dates: October 2–4

Students attending the Pace University Sands College of Performing Arts Dance Intensive will spend three days with Sands College faculty and guest artists participating in leveled classes in dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, theater dance, hip hop, contemporary, and partnering. On Friday evening, faculty and staff will also offer a Wellness Seminar and College Seminar for parents and students. On Saturday evening, students and their families are invited to a special Dance Showcase featuring current BFA Commercial Dance students.

The Dance Intensive will start around 4:00 p.m. on Friday and conclude around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday (a detailed schedule will be sent to admitted participants in September).

The Intensive is by application and invitation only. Students must submit this application through Acceptd by September 1, 2026. Faculty in the Sands College of Performing Arts will review each application and make a decision based on event capacity and the applicant’s technique level. Invitations to the Fall Dance Intensive will be sent on a rolling basis. If invited, students will need to complete registration and pay the registration fee through Acceptd.

Important Note for Seniors

Students wishing to audition for Fall 2027 admission to the BFA in Commercial Dance will have the opportunity to attend a separate audition on Friday evening. Seniors will also need to submit the Application for Admission to Pace University upon invitation to the Intensive. Students may elect to apply Early Decision (binding) or Regular Decision. Early Decision candidates will be notified of academic admission and Commercial Dance admission in December. Regular Decision candidates will be notified in March once all auditions have concluded.

Fees

  • Application Fee (All Applicants): $30.00 (non-refundable)
  • If Admitted: $450.00 (all grade levels)

  • Dance Resume;
  • Headshot or dance photo (JPG, PDF);
  • Two dance videos (ballet and jazz) using the ballet instructional and jazz instructional videos provided;
  • One dance solo - can be a competition video;
  • One wild card video (anything extra you wish to share that might be applicable to your interests).
