Layne Davis ‘25, Peace and Justice Studies, Political Science, delivered a statement on October 16 to the United Nations General Assembly First Committee, which considers issues of disarmament and international security. The statement called for greater engagement in youth inclusion and disarmament education.

Twenty-two Pace University students have been selected for the highly competitive United Nations Academic Impact-Millenium Fellowship Class of 2024, including 12 students from Dyson College of Arts and Sciences. They represent only 5 percent of more than 52,000 applications accepted from students at 6,000 colleges and universities in 48 nations.

Clinical Assistant Professor Akil DuPont, MFA, Media, Communications, and Visual Arts, won the Best Production award at the Spring/Summer 2024 New York Theater Festival for Underground, a story of the enslaved, told with the spirituals that guided them to freedom, and inspired by real events in America’s history. His role was as a writer, producer and director.
