The Pace | Haub Law Advocacy Program hosted its third biennial Gavel Gala on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, NY. The mission of the Gavel Gala is to honor the advocacy program’s hardworking and dedicated coaches, the successes of former law school alumni, to celebrate the school’s current law students in the advocacy program, provide students the opportunity to network with attorneys and judges, to provide scholarship money to allow our students the opportunity to travel and compete across the nation and in prestigious international opportunities. This year, the Program had a lot to celebrate as it was recently ranked # 13 in the Nation by U.S. News and World Report’s latest rankings.

Among the honorees are a Broadway powerhouse, a family who turned a heartbreaking loss into hope for children, a renowned judge, the former president of one of the largest and oldest American comic book companies, and a physician leading the way in AI-powered medicine.

The Westchester Women's Bar Association Foundation (WWBAF) has awarded the Justice Sondra M. Miller Scholarship in honor of WWBA founding member and past President Hon. Sondra M. Miller to Haub Law student Remila Jasharllari. The WWBAF evaluates scholarship applicants on a number of criteria: community and/or public service, clinic and internship involvement, life balance, academic record, personal adversity in pursuit of a legal education and intent to make future contributions to Westchester County.
