LLM student Samuel Fonseca de Carvalho has emerged victorious in the SUAD YOUTH COP competition, a prestigious global mock negotiation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Having grown up in a family full of lawyers – from his father to his cousins, and most recently his sister – from a young age Marc Bisogno ’25 aspired towards a career in law. He was drawn to Haub Law in particular because of the atmosphere of support on campus.

A team of students from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University’s Advocacy Program received a “Golden Ticket” to participate in the prestigious 3-day Summit Cup Mock Trial Competition October 3–5, 2024, hosted by the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law.

Despite beginning law school elsewhere, transfer student Joseph Martinez always felt that Haub Law was where he belonged. “Haub Law, for me, was always the goal,” said Joseph.

A single mom with two children, Haub Law student Samantha Mariano describes her path to law school as “unconventional at best.” Following her decision to leave an abusive situation, Samantha was referred to Connecticut Legal Services through a local domestic violence organization.

As a Vietnamese American whose family immigrated to the United States as refugees from the Vietnam War, ThuLan Pham ’25 entered Haub Law as a first generation law student.

Patricia (Tricia) Feighan ‘94 and her daughter, Michelle, a current 2L at Haub Law, have deep family ties to Pace. “My father, Philip B. Blank, was Associate Dean for External Affairs and Professor of Law at what was then known as Pace University School of Law,” said Tricia.

A dedicated 3L, Madison has always been passionate about becoming an attorney in the field of criminal law. She embarked on her law school journey two weeks following her undergraduate graduation and started as a January admit student at Haub Law in 2023.

The Pace | Haub Law Advocacy Program hosted its third biennial Gavel Gala on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, NY. The mission of the Gavel Gala is to honor the advocacy program’s hardworking and dedicated coaches, the successes of former law school alumni, to celebrate the school’s current law students in the advocacy program, provide students the opportunity to network with attorneys and judges, to provide scholarship money to allow our students the opportunity to travel and compete across the nation and in prestigious international opportunities. This year, the Program had a lot to celebrate as it was recently ranked # 13 in the Nation by U.S. News and World Report’s latest rankings.
