We Remember Sr. Mary St. John Delany
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of someone dear to the School of Education, Sr. Mary St. John Delany. Sr. Mary St. John Delany was an Associate Professor in the School of Education at Pace University, and a member of the Sisters of the Divine Compassion. She has also served as the Faculty Chair in the School of Education. A strong record of accomplishments in tutoring and teaching has made her a key player in the development of community-based programming in Westchester County, and a recognized leader in the literacy instruction field. Sr. Delany also founded The Delany Center for Educational Enrichment in 1972 to help improve the developmental reading skills of children in White Plains. Her care and dedication to education have made a positive impact on so many students all across the county. Our hearts go out to her family, as we remember Sister and the many lives she has touched.
