Your Career. Your Classroom. Your Next Chapter Starts Here.

Your degree can do more than open doors—it can open young minds. If you hold a bachelor’s degree outside of education and are ready to make an impact in education, Pace University's MST in Adolescent Education with Transitional B certification offers a direct path into teaching, without putting your income on hold. Designed for candidates ready to transform the lives of today’s middle and high school students, the Transitional B (Trans B) pathway lets you step into a full-time teaching role from day one, earning a salary and benefits while you learn.

The Trans B certificate is a temporary New York State teaching license that allows a candidate enrolled in an alternative teacher preparation program, such as Pace University’s ACE (Alternative Certification Education) Program, to teach while completing their degree. Through this innovative earn-while-you-learn model, you'll teach full-time in a grade 7–12 classroom while simultaneously completing your master's degree in education online at Pace, gaining real classroom experience and a graduate credential on a timeline that works for your life.
