Get Involved in the Classroom
Civic Engagement and Public Values
Civic Engagement and Public Values (CE) courses are classes that have a community partnership component as part of the class. CE courses offer students an exciting opportunity to put what they’ve learned in the classroom into action as they work with local organizations to meet community-identified needs. The community partnership looks different in every course and can include various types of civic and community engagement like community service, research, and advocacy.

Vote Everywhere Ambassadors
The Vote Everywhere Ambassador program, a partnership with the Andrew Goodman Foundation, supports two Pace NYC students working to increase voter engagement. Vote Everywhere Ambassadors register Pace students to vote, break down voting barriers, and lead social justice initiatives important to the student community.
Pace Votes Leaders
On the NYC campus, the Pace Votes Leadership Program provides students with a sustained opportunity to support CCAR’s voter education work, while developing skills related to civic leadership.

Your Participation Matters
Through CCAR’s partnership with the Andrew Goodman Foundation, Pace students can find resources to register to vote, understand their voting options, locate polling places, and stay informed about upcoming elections. Get the information you need to participate in the democratic process and take an active role in your community.

Civic Engagement Programs
CCAR regularly facilitates opportunities to learn about, and take action on, community social justice issues. Many of these programs are organized in partnership with other departments and student organizations at Pace along with local non-profit and non-partisan government partners.

A few examples of annual programming include:
- Volunteer Fairs and monthly group volunteering events with local non-profits
- National Voter Registration Day and other initiatives to get out the vote
- Workshops, lectures, film screenings and discussion groups on current events
- Student advocacy trainings and initiatives
