The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge empowers colleges and universities to achieve excellence in nonpartisan student democratic engagement. As an ALL IN participant and a signatory to the ALL IN President’s Challenge, Pace has committed to institutionalizing student democratic engagement.
The Andrew Goodman Foundation works to make young voices and voters a powerful force in democracy. On the NYC campus, CCAR hosts two Vote Everywhere Ambassadors annually in partnership with the Andrew Goodman Foundation. The Vote Everywhere program provides training, resources, and a peer network to support students working to break down voting barriers and tackle important social justice issues on their campuses.
The Carnegie Community Engagement Classification recognizes higher education institutions that demonstrate a dedication to community engagement in their mission, identity, and commitments. A Carnegie Community Engagement Classification recipient since 2006, Pace’s long-term dedication to community engagement is visible across the university, including in the Civic Engagement and Public Values course requirement and CCAR programming.
Campus Compact is a national coalition of colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education. CCAR manages the university’s Campus Compact membership, which includes professional development and recognition opportunities for students, staff, and faculty on civic and community engagement.
Pace is one of the ten founding universities of Project Pericles, a consortium that brings together colleges and universities to make community-engaged civic learning central to what higher education does and who students become. Project Pericles collaborates with Pace faculty and staff to advance innovative teaching and learning that stimulates curiosity, cultivates civic identity, and generates the confidence to revitalize democracy and civil society.
