Adalene Minelli is a joint fellow at the Guarini Center at New York University School of Law and the Department of Environmental Studies at New York University Arts & Science. Her current research focuses on the role of local governments in managing urban wildlife. While at NYU, Adalene has led a range of projects focusing on local environmental issues, including research on urban climate, infrastructure, environmental review, and land use policy. In this capacity, she produced an article titled "Impact Fees in New York City? Legal Authority, Constraints, and Potential Options" published in the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law. Prior to joining the Guarini Center, Adalene worked as a consultant to the UN’s Division of Environmental Law and Conventions, where she led research on the nexus between the Sustainable Development Goals and multilateral environmental conventions. She received her LLM in Environmental and Energy Law from New York University School of Law, her JD from Cardozo School of Law, and dual BA degrees from Stony Brook University.
