Shaping Energy and Climate Policy
The Pace Energy and Climate Center empowers change at the intersection of energy, environmental policy, and climate justice. Established in 1987, the Center combines legal, economic, and scientific research with stakeholder engagement to advance clean energy, climate resilience, and environmental justice—finding solutions to our energy and climate challenges at the local, state, regional, national, and international levels, while also training future energy leaders.
The Pace Energy and Climate Center turns ideas into action. We believe thoughtful, principled engagement of government and key stakeholders leads to better public policy. Subscribe to our online blog for the latest energy news and insights published by our expert faculty, staff, fellows, and student researchers.
Since its founding, the Pace Energy and Climate Center has conducted important research on pressing energy and environmental issues, feasibility studies, regulatory reviews and other legal research contributing toward projects in energy innovation and policy. Our reports, white papers, and publications are publicly available and can be accessed through our online library.
We are dedicated to training the next generation of energy professionals. Student interns and scholars from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University contribute directly to research, drafting, and analysis for a range of domestic and international initiatives, gaining critical skills while advancing cutting-edge energy law and policy solutions.

Powering Change
“At the Pace Energy and Climate Center, our work is about more than shaping policy—it’s about empowering communities, inspiring the next generation of energy leaders, and turning bold ideas into lasting solutions. As we navigate the clean energy transition, we’re committed to advancing equity, bridging gaps in access, and ensuring no voice is left behind.”
