The Biden Administration, in a virtual event that took place on Friday, January 28, recognized the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Haub Law was one of 99 law schools in 35 states and Puerto Rico who responded to the Attorney General’s Call to Action to the legal profession to address the housing and eviction crisis, and help increase housing stability and access to justice in their communities.

Fluent in three languages and trained as a classical ballerina, Isabella D'Alesio moved from Italy to New York to complete her bachelor's degree. After spending some time as a paralegal at a large international law firm, her decision to pursue a career in law was solidified. Now a 1L at Haub Law, Isabella hopes to begin a legal career in the international/environmental law field. "It's a very heavy burden," Gershman said, adding that federal appellate courts tend to defer to trial judges.
