In her article in Westchester Lawyer Magazine, Adjunct Professor Jessica Bacher discusses the growing need for advanced training in health law and policy, spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic and recent changes in health regulations and policy.

A team of students from Drake Law School won the first annual Elisabeth Haub School of Law Environmental Law & Policy Hack Competition.

The 2020 Elisabeth Haub Award for Environmental Law & Diplomacy was conferred in memoriam to Environmental Defenders who lost their lives defending their land and the environment from destructive industries. The number of attacks against environmental defenders continues to rise, with 212 killings documented by Global Witness in 2019. The ceremony was preceded by a panel discussion featuring leading environmental advocates and activists from around the globe.

Professor Greer Donley of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law has been selected as the winner of 2019–2020 Haub Law Emerging Scholar Award in Women, Gender & Law for her paper Contraceptive Equity: Curing the Sex Discrimination in the ACA’s Mandate, 71 Ala. L. Rev. 499 (2019).
