The Westchester & Fairfield County Business Journals highlight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s visit to Pace’s Cyber-Range in Pleasantville.

Pace University is pleased to announce the establishment of the Gale Epstein Center for Technology, Policy, and the Environment, made possible by a significant gift from Gale Epstein, a New York City-based philanthropist and business leader. The new center is housed in the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems.

Google Pier 57 was recently full of energy as over 500 tech enthusiasts (including more than 50 Pace students) gathered for GDG DevFest NYC 2024, an event dedicated to exploring “Responsible AI for the Future of Tech.” Among the organizing team was Seidenberg professor Dr. Christelle Scharff.

Pace University’s Seidenberg School recently organized an event which hosted Emilie Nasseh, a prominent New York City-based lawyer specializing in privacy law and compliance, as a guest speaker.

Senator Kristen Gillibrand visited Pace’s Pleasantville campus to tour its Cyber Range, and to encourage students to apply to the Department of Defense Cyber Service Academy scholarship program—and News 12 has the story.

When U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand toured Pace University’s Cyber Range, she greeted each student with a handshake and call to action in safeguarding our national security: “You’re learning something very important for our country.”

The senator from New York – joined by lawmakers, students, university leadership, and business leaders – was in Pleasantville on November 15, 2024 to see first-hand Pace’s state-of-the-art computer simulation laboratory that teaches students to be on the front-lines of defending against as cyber-attack.

The Seidenberg School’s very own Professor Namchul Shin recently travelled to two prestigious academic events in Seoul, South Korea, where he presented his research on sustainability reporting in the coal mining industry.

At this year’s European Conference on Pattern Languages of Programs (EuroPLoP), Seidenberg Professor Mary Tedeschi presented her latest research, Reflections – Remote Teaching Patterns in a Hybrid Teaching Context.
