Join PECC for a film screening of Professor Raya Salter Black Soil Rising and a moderated Q & A between PECC’s Energy & Climate Scholar Laila Greene and Professor Raya Salter.

Black Soil Rising is a film by Professor Raya Salter, telling the story of a family defending ancestral Black land in Alabama’s largest oil field. This film exposes the link between land loss and climate justice. It is followed by a moderated Q & A by PECC Energy & Climate Scholar Laila Greene and Professor Raya Salter. This PECC event is a collaboration between Energy Justice Law & Policy Center, Pace Environmental Law Society (ELS), and Pace Black Law Students Association (BLSA).
