Background Checks

All students are required to complete a background check and drug screening prior to beginning the MS Nutrition and Dietetics program. During supervised practice rotations, practicum sites may require students to submit an updated drug screen prior to commencing a supervised practice placement.

Health insurance

All full-time students (nine or more credits in a semester) are required by Pace to have health insurance. Please visit the Pace Health Insurance web site to either apply for Pace's health plan or, if you have your own insurance, opt out of Pace's health plan by the deadline.

Professional Liability Insurance

Students participating in College of Health Professions supervised practice programs are covered under the College’s insurance. Work at the supervised practice site, professional liability, as well as travel to and from supervised practice sites are covered under this insurance. Should students wish to purchase additional professional liability insurance, they will be responsible for this out of pocket payment.
